Daadras Launches First Ration Drive Amid COVID-19 Crisis

As Pakistan entered one of its most difficult periods amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Daadras Foundation took its first step toward serving those hardest hit. In June 2020, Daadras collected Rs 15,200 in donations and distributed essential support to four deserving individuals, one receiving a full ration package and three receiving cash assistance for medicines and sanitary items.

The initiative was born out of a simple but urgent recognition: daily-wage earners across the country had lost their livelihoods overnight. With no income and mounting needs, countless families were left without the means to put food on the table.

This first drive laid the foundation for what Daadras would grow into: a community-backed relief network powered by collective compassion. The organisation announced plans to continue and expand the programme through the following month.
