On September 7, 2020, Daadras volunteers visited Nawaz Mor in Green Town, Lahore, one of the city's most densely populated and underserved localities, to conduct a ration distribution drive.

What the team encountered went beyond food insecurity. Residents of the area live in severely overcrowded conditions with inadequate sanitation, making survival a daily challenge for hundreds of families.

During the visit, volunteers met a young boy working on the streets of Nawaz Mor to support a family of twelve. At an age when he should be in school, his circumstances had made him a breadwinner. His story, while heartbreaking, is not unique. The team noted dozens of children in similar situations across the neighbourhood.

Daadras urged donors to give generously, emphasising that their contributions reach real individuals with real stories, and that more support is urgently needed.
