Daadras Brings Colour and Creativity to Local Orphanage

On September 2, 2023, Daadras partnered with Waduha Welfare and Sharq Youth Community to bring a creative arts initiative to children at a local orphanage, a project designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and offer children a joyful outlet for self-expression.

The collaboration centred on colour and visual creativity, giving children the chance to paint, draw, and engage with art in an environment that prioritised play and freedom over structure. For children living in institutional care, such experiences can be profoundly meaningful, affirming their individuality and encouraging them to dream beyond their immediate circumstances.

Daadras described the visit as a reminder that support for vulnerable communities does not always take the form of food or money. Sometimes it takes the form of showing up, sitting alongside children, and giving them an afternoon they will remember.

The organisation thanked both partner organisations for making the event possible.
