Within days of launching its flood appeal on August 28, 2022, the Daadras Foundation had collected Rs 150,000 in donations and, from August 30, began channelling aid to some of the most severely affected areas, supporting communities that have lost homes, livestock, and livelihoods.
Working through partner organisations and field workers on the ground, Daadras directed help to Nasirabad, Kot Palyani, Jhal Magsi, Lasbela, Uthal, Sobatpur, Jaffarabad, and Sarki Tibba Burrah, all areas that have suffered significant infrastructural and humanitarian damage. The scale of destruction far exceeds what numbers alone can convey. Entire villages have been submerged, and the road damage across the region has made access both dangerous and logistically complex.
These partners navigated difficult conditions to ensure that vital supplies and support reached those who needed them most.
Daadras thanked every donor who contributed, whether through direct transfers, social media shares, or word of mouth, and emphasised that the reach of its relief operations depends directly on public support. Relief efforts continued in the weeks that followed.
