On August 31, 2022, the Daadras Foundation launched a clothing donation drive specifically for communities displaced and devastated by the ongoing floods.
With more than 33 million people impacted across the country and hundreds of thousands living in relief camps, the need for basic clothing, particularly for children, women, and the elderly, is acute. Many families fled their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs, losing everything to rising floodwaters.
Daadras called on the public to donate usable clothing in good condition, which would be collected, sorted, and dispatched directly to affected communities in Sindh and Balochistan. The drive ran alongside the organisation's ongoing cash and ration relief efforts, reflecting Daadras's approach of addressing the full spectrum of immediate needs.
Donors were urged to act quickly, as field conditions on the ground were deteriorating rapidly with continued rainfall forecasted across the region.
